Everywhere in Vietnam you can see rice. Vietnamese people eat rice everyday in their meals. Rice is part of their life and it reflects the Vietnamese culture. Nowadays, technology is applied widely in producing rice and that helps much farmers and it is less hard in farming work. But the old traditional way of producing rice is still kept unchanged in some parts of the country as it is the basic work to have rice. We would like to help tourists understand the life of the countryside people. You can join us to learn all about rice: raking soil on the field; scooping water, transplanting rice, preparing cooking rice… We back you to the old life of our ancestors. You will help the farmers work on the field. The local farmer will instruct you how to cultivate rice in the fields ,from planting the seeds to harvesting the ripe grain, and finally with a delicious lunch of rice.

The Wet Rice Farming life Experience Tour – From Farm to The Table

At 8 AM you will be picked -up by tour guide and driver at your hotel in HoiAn old town

Reach the farm, be welcome with tea and wet tissues, be explained about the whole process of wet rice cultivation and answer any questions  related to farming life that you may have.

Then wearing farming clothes before getting into muddy rice field near to working as a real farmer with friendly water buffalo, you also have a chance to enjoy a buffalo riding on the field.

The next step, local famer will demonstrate the whole process of wet rice growing with buffalo as following steps:

-water the field by traditional way to make the soil to be soft

-ploughing soil to make it to be soft and porous

-Raking soil to make it to be flat, smooth

-Then, we transplanting rice by hand, and show you harvesting techniques as well.

Now, it is time for you to have a go with farmer’ help, these activities will help you have a real touch to our rice farming daily life.

After all, we back to the resting point taking a rest and enjoy a glass of passion juice then learn how to making white rice (ready rice product to use in Viet Nam ) by traditional way with some old hand machine:

Firstly, husking the rice to have brown rice - winnowing to separate brown rice from husk – sifting and pounding brown rice  to become  white rice - grinding white rice to get rice flour, and cooking rice pancake from rice flour. You will join a short rice pancake cooking class - Last  step is : Enjoy the Lunch  with some specialties of our village : Tam Huu (three friends ), Deep Fried Spring Rolls (vegetarian style), Local rice pancake serve with fresh organic vegetable and fish sauce, Steamed rice, Fish (or chicken' meat ), shrimp, pork, Season fruits

The tour will be finished around 12h00 - 13h00

Cancellation Policy By Customer

Under normal conditions:

- If not for issues such as natural disasters, pandemic, war reasons: 10% of the total package price of the tour you can not be refunded after we end the agreement.

- If customers cancel the services before 15 - 30 days you come to Vietnam, you will not be able to get it back 20% of the total package price of the tour.

Under the pandemic, natural disasters, war...: You are unable to come to Vietnam, you will be refunded 20% of total package price of the tour, provided you notify me 15 days in advance. After that time you will lose this amount.
